Of all the photos that thousands of photographers have taken of this waterfall, I suspect this is the first one with an alien in it :)
BTW, the viking's name was Thrasi Thorolfsson. But regardless, a very good photo!

Cedric Leblond :D Yes, the alien adds a little originality!
It seems that the french travel guides transform the 'Th' by 'P' in the viking's name, don't know why! You're right, I'll change the title with the correct name.

I often dont like figures in an image but in this case it really does make the image work so well, great convertion to B&W.

Yes this picture is a creative edit (but the waterfall and landscape are of course real :-) ), so I add here the man and also try to bring up ghosts in the mist of the waterfall at the left of the picture! These ghosts could be Vikings spirits, or Icelandic elves and trolls... :-))

This would still be an incredible shot without the figure. The lighting, the rick contrast, details, etc, all make this a pleasure to view. But by including the figure, intended or not, you've added a great sense of scale here, and opened the viewer's mind to any number of implied narratives.

This is one of the most beautiful picture I've seen on this essential Icelandic waterfall!

After it's funny because the character at the bottom looks a bit like an alien.
