Hi Christoph! I've been comparing this version with the one you posted for critique, and what a difference! Not only a question of editing but another picture altogether. This one is better in all respects, and effortless tells the story. I love the light and all the fine color nuances. It would be presumtuous of me to critizise a great picture like this, but here's a thought. The fact that the monk looks at the window gives me the impression that he's imprisoned in a literal sense, so I wonder if it wouldn't be more subtle if he looked down to the ground, that is, looking inward in a meditative mood, concentrating, blessed with the light falling on his forehead. Just a thought so don't get me wrong: i really admire this photo!

I saw another performance under Critique and must say that this is a great improvement.
It looks like a scene from a movie, wonderful image with a nice light compo and mood.
