I love the warm, hazy light in this picture. Very real. I also like the shadows on the water. I like also how the two boulders at left bottom look (almost) like observers (although, they are looking a bit out of the picture, but it works anyway). More than anything else though, the view to the distance - it's good.
John Parminter  Thanks Ursula, I included the two small rocks for balance and the view is the reason why I got up at 4am and made the effort to get on top for sunrise, a gamble that thankfully paid off I think,

Thats another stunning image John, Doesn't look like this would be an easy walk up or down in darkness from here... Beautiful photography as always, great comp and use of light.
John Parminter  It is surprisingly easy Antony, only being about 1600ft climb on a well engineered path takes about half an hour to get to the top. In my opinion, Stac Pollaidh is one of the best hills to climb in the UK, outstanding views in all directions from such a comparitevely diminuitive peak.

quod erat demonstrandum :-) Wonderful John!
Christoph
John Parminter  QED, I really must google that to see what it means, hope its good... :-)), JP
Christoph Hessel  I wanted to express, that here like in the other image, it's the photographer, who makes it :-)
John Parminter  Arh well Christoph, in landscape photography, I firmly believe it is Mother Nature whos does most of the work, we simply press the shutter and aren't responsible for the beauty, just the recording... :-)
JP
Christoph Hessel  If that only would be true :-) :-) :-)
