DANCING IN THE SNOW
The elegant Red-crowned Crane (Gru japonensis) (Tancho) is symbol of longevity, peace and fortune.

NOTE: This picture is NOT a ctrl-c and ctrl-v !
My photography philosophy is show what I have shoot.

The Japanese cranes are the largest bird in Japan. In long and cold winter they congregate in special feeding areas, where human give them food.
Other birds are coming there and try to steal the food to the cranes...and cranes, of course, drive them out.

The Japanese cranes are an endangered species. The estimated population of the species is only 1,700 - 2,000 individuals in the wild. Is a large crane and is the second rarest crane in the world.

Alessandra Meniconzi  If you don't believe you can go to Hokkaido and see with your eyes ;-)
Many photographers take only cranes pictures...the web is full of this kind of pictures:

Two years ago I have done a slide show (not digital show) and a person come to ask me if the images were in digital. I answered no, they are all slides...so he make double his congratulation for the work!

In the new era of digital photography people think that every pictures has made with photoshop and other software and not taken! All is about you...You are free to create pictures with photoshop, is another kind to make photography. For myself I still work a lot outside in the field and less with the computer ;-)
