I'm curious... why would you not want to correct the heaviness of the right side with a simple gradient luminance blend? If it would make the photo better (less distracting) and more accurate to the scene and blending is such an easy correction? IMO if you have a great photo, one should do whatever it takes to do the corrections on it so that it can see its potential of being an awesome image. Your moment here is world class why not develop the image the same?
