A happy family of elephants - I like the tonality in your picture . This gives it an almost "documentary" style.

I am with Stephen on this one - The tar road spoils the Image, gives a feeling of human / animal confict rather than safari.

Sorry, a herd of elephants crossing a tarmac road with vehicles in the background is hardly 'cutting edge' .

Morkel Erasmus I agree Stephen - every visitor to South Africa's Kruger Park has a shot like this...if you look at the kind of wildlife photos that normally get rejected here on 1X this makes me wonder. Not a bad photo, Shahaira, just not as poignant as what we've become used to here...apologies for the "frankness" of my comment! :)

Shahaira de Cuba Morkel, I really appreciate your honest opinion. Unfortunately Kruger Park differs very much from Kenya were you have the open fields, So I agree that most photographs taken in the Kruger Park will probably have the tarmac road. The vehicles I purposely decided not to photoshop them out, to give the image a natural safari look. In regards to the elephants, I don't know, but I really doubt if every visitor of the Kruger Park will have this luck :-)

Morkel Erasmus no problem...I visit Kruger at least twice a year (haven't been to Kenya - yet)...and I have many elephant photos without the road, and some of them in open fields (Kruger is HUGE, remember?) :)
anyway - off topic now...just my 2cents...
