Impressive capture of this imposing bird! I was very lucky to have a golden eagle come to feed on an abandoned deer carcass in the field adjacent to my backyard. I have some snapshots to remember the moment, but my lens was no where long enough for anything but a snapshot. I am glad photographers like yourself dedicate yourselves to photographing these amazing birds so I may enjoy them too!

Expensive nights out! but when you get shots like this I imagine worthwhile & you get to be so close. Terrific wildlife shot.

Henrik Just You`re right, Gerard - It´s every penny worth getting so close to the big and very impressive eagles.
And the price isn`t that high / bad, when you make a good deal ;-))
I`ve been in the hide 3 X 3 days now, and I`ve had eagles and gooshawk only 9 meters from the hide every time.
The overall price for the 3 times is just about 1000 pounds, well it`s a lot of money, but compared to other similar places it`s rather cheap.

And thanks a lot for your nice words to the eagle ! ;-))

gerard sexton What do you do with the images Henrik do you sell any to someway help pay for the pleasure? Interesting today for the third time I had a visitor a Peregrine Falcon outside of my window & in London though of course they are now more common in this city but still a rare sight. I have some images but they are static the bird is perched high in one of the disused cranes by the side of the dock not 1X material but a personal favourite & compared with your images rather insignificant! Thank god I have such a good lens in my 400mm 2.8! Looking forward to more similar shots!

Sometimes I can sell an image, but it`s not something I really do anything for. I don´t participate on stock-sites or other sites with sales in mind.
I just love the animals, nature and wilderness in generel, and the photos are, as you mentions, just for my pleasure. If other people also can see the beauty and "power" in a bird like this Golden Eagle in a photo like this one, I´m very
happy.

And you`re very fortunate when a Perigrine falcon pays you a visit now and then ;-))
I wish it was me.
