Longimanus

Oceanic whitetip shark (Carcharhinus longimanus) swimming gracefully in open water at Little Gota, St. Johns area, Egypt. Saw the first whitetip on the end of the early morning dive so the next one was spent only with these fantastic animals. 60 minutes of adrenaline rush!

This is great! Beautiful picture and wonderful how he swims with his little friens in there striped pajamas! That make the composition so wonderful too.

great shot ... great shark ...indeed an impressive fish .. I met one years ago at the Brother islands and Elphinstone reef ... great experience like you said ... why in balck and white ?... the blue colors are so nice imho ...

csaba tokolyi thanks peter! I wanted something that's a tad different from most of the shark shots around. I wanted the to create (sorry for the big words) an iconic whitetip shot. And these bw tones emphasize the body structure of the shark much much more, without the distracting element of color. maybe the color versions get published as well, once :)
