god.. the point is over arched..

crazy dancer... love it
King Douglas  So how do you know about over arched feet, Guy?
Guy Margalit  i can see her feet :)
is that a known thing? a dencer's word?
King Douglas  I'm a retired ballet dancer. I thought you might be a dancer, considering your remark about this woman's arched feet. Ballet dancers are very aware of the degree of arch, the quality of the arch and the position of the arched foot over the toe.
Guy Margalit  upload more :)
Guy Margalit  yes i know that. what i ment was: is that the official term? over arched?
i am not a dencer but i love dencers. i think thay have absolut control and awerness over thir body. as a portraitpeople photographer i am fasinated by their skills.

anyway i thout that the point should be perfectly strait whith the leg and not over arched. what is considerd better?
King Douglas  Over-arching is not good, but there are degrees. The ideal is for the leg and foot to form an elongated s-curve. No,it is not the case that the point should be perfectly straight with the leg. At the risk of offending the host for this side-bar conversation (Mr. Papendieck), here's a good example of how the foot should look when on point (the single leg in this photo):

or this good example of the s-curve I'm talking about:

Simply fabulous. Are you/were you a dancer, Michael? You certainly have an eye for line and shapes that dancers like. Your images make me want to know more about you than you have posted on your Artist page.

Who is your model here...great legs and feet.
Michael Papendieck  You´re right....I danced for over 15 years...... :-)
King Douglas  That's great! I'm so glad to have identified a comrade in arms. I admire your work, Michael, and thanks for writing...even after so long a time.
