The Saint

The Saint, the good man who lives in Spain and could give away gifts in the Netherlands on 5 December for those who believe in the existence of this very old man. Are there any naughty children, they end up in the bag and go to Spain on December 6. An old tradition of this good man and yet there are children who sometimes fear, but of course the naughty children.

Ik geloof alvast ook in Sinterklaas en de snoepjes waren heerlijk, alles is op, zo zie je maar, hij komt ook in de Zuidelijke Nederlanden, België genaamd

Jeannette Oerlemans Ik heb net zitten lezen hoe Sinterklaas gevierd wordt in België, dat gebeurt in de vroege ochtend van 6 december en alle kinderen weten dat er pakjes liggen en stormen dan de trap af naar beneden. Klopt dat?

Luc Van Sever Ja, zeer zeker, er wordt zelfs afgesproken dat ze op hun broertjes en zusjes moeten wachten, de mama of papa geven het startsein dat ze naar beneden mogen hollen, je moet hun glunderende gezichten dan zien bij al dat fraais, ben er echt zeker van dat dit leuke 1x beelden geeft, achteraf wordt er nog een Sinterklaasliedje gezongen.
Drie van mijn vijf zonen wonen nog thuis en krijgen nog steeds lekkers van de Goede Sint, dit is eigenlijk niet de bedoeling, maar we blijven het leuk vinden om de traditie in ere te houden.
Wij hebben het ook dit jaar maar pas ontdekt dat het in Nederland het er anders aan toe gaat, onze derde zoon zit namelijk op kamers in Delft, Erasmusuitwisseling, en hij wist het verhaal van cadeautjes aan mekaar te geven te vertellen.
Tja, een leuk verhaal hoe gewoontes kunnen verschillen.

Als Sint Nicolaas nog geleefd zou hebben, zou hij heel blij zijn met dit mooie portret van hem, en je zou vast heel veel cadeautjes gekregen hebben!

One part is editing.

It started really! I was on site and behind the gravel path to the forest area they were working with a walk and there was a tent for hot soup. I saw in the distance The Saint stood still and went towards them and took pictures of him. Later I asked him if he wanted to stand in the heather, which he did. When we were done, I go walking and while walking I thought, I would like to have a white horse there. A bit further meadows and I looked through my telephoto lens or as I saw a white horse to run. I saw one, I was lucky. But when I arrived it was gone because it was a deadlock. Later I saw a rider on a white horse and waited for it and asked me a picture of her could make, but in the backlight, the same light as I St. along had photographed and that I have later photoshopped. The Saint, I have selected some light still want to bring forward. My first thought was completely dark for him to leave an idea of a feature film of the Saint which is not really suitable for children but later while you're editing you going to do it differently.
And of course total processing such as contrast, etc.

Ow!! I is a big suprise for me that the picture came through and that on Sinterklaas Eve! Thank you very much everyone!

Here a little story of him.

Every year in mid November Sinterklaas arrives by steamboat in the Netherlands. On the deck are jumping with glee at all helpers. Some even climbing up the mast so that they can adopt the children to swing on the quay. Also, mold is Americo traveled to the Netherlands. On the quay are the children waiting for him, waving flags and singing Sinterklaas songs. Across the country, the big party. Also on the t.v. is to follow his arrival. From the day of arrival until December 6 is a very busy time for Santa and his minions. The children put their shoes by the fireplace. There will be goodies tucked in for the horse, such as hay and sugar cubes. At night when the children are asleep, riding his white horse and with St. Peters on the roofs. The servants have large bags with him where all kinds of little gifts, gingerbread and chocolate letters for the little children in it. These are thrown by the chimney, hoping that they end up in the shoe. Santa Claus has a big red book in which anything. Whether the children have been naughty or just love what they would want the Saint and what not. All wish lists are also provided. Sinterklaas on December 6th leaves Unfortunately back to Spain for a long, long vacation.
