Hello David, The first thing what strikes me about this photo is, if I may dare say, finally a meaning, a feeling, a concept, passion, though one can argue that this is subjective anyway. I like a lot the intensity and minimality of the background, as well as the image of the chessboard in the glass stem. I also like a blue liquid in the glass, is it an elixir of love, an elixir of life, etc. Aesthetically I am not sure about the glass crop at the top, but I guess it is fine, also maybe it would be better for the key that it was positioned so that as much as possible it was contrasted with withe squares.
