I would have chosen a wider DOF. Berne is a really lovely city, and you captured it brilliantly

Very nice, it is hard for me to put into words, but it almost looks like a photographic illustration. Awesome use of HDR...the cool vs. warm and light vs. dark, along with the composition of winding roads helps gives it all sorts of dimension.

It became one of my favorites once I saw it. I don't now Bern, but this photo is really wunderschön! I mean really the photo, it's not enough, when Bern is a nice city, you found a very special "Winkel" (angle of view) to take this photo. The "Fricktreppe" is also a very good one of you!

Incredible nighe scene, and the clouds are just surreal!

remo rufer thanks. i was waiting for weeks until the weather was right! it was shot just in the moment of the sunset when the sun shines from underneath on the clouds, to get those waves.

Absolut schön, abenteuerlich schön - ich bekomme lust diese Stadt zu besuchen. Wie sieht es hier aus, wenn der erste Schnee gefallen ist?

remo rufer danke. die stadt ist wirklich etwas besonderes. in der heutigen zeit ist schnee in bern aber eine seltenheit, leider.
schön wäre es sicher, stell dir vor aus den kaminen würde ein leichter rauch aufsteigen- einfach traumhaft.

Very nice indeed, difficult motive to do something special with, but I believe you have done that here. Mainly by having this beautiful contrast between the warm cosy light from the windows and the streetlights, and the cold tones on the roofs and sky. Good work!
