Hi Reggy, I do not know how I have missed some o your photos here..they are just amazing...There are so many good pictures here that most days it is like a great candy shop with the best chocolate in the world..and so you miss some..I love the darkness in this shot...for me it has an ominous feeling...which gives it mystery and I would not have guessed China.. Beautiful shot. Phyllis

Reggy Thank you very much Phyllis. I agree that there are so many outrageous pictures here. It's always an honour for me when a picture of mine has been selected :-))
This photo is darker than it should be, I think, because when I did the post-proccessing I had a worse monitor. Now I have a better one and see that it is darker then I meant to be. But maybe he looks well on your monitor, there are so many differences in those.

Reggy Thanks Chavi! I see you are a climber ... maybe you have heard of the Muztagh Ata, the mountain next to this mountain? You can climb it and do it on ski on the way back :-))

chavi Yes I have heard about this mountain, I was thinking to climb it this last year (2009 ) but I changed for the Cho Oyu.

Reggy Thank you Andre. These mountains are indeed spectacular. If you are interested: they are located in West-China (Xinjiang) near the border of Pakistan. The name is Kongur Tagh (7719 m)

Reggy Was inderdaad een bijzondere sfeer toen! Ik moest heel snel rennen om mijn camera uit de yourt te halen (en dat op 3600 m hoogte, haha) want ik weet dat dit soort momenten heel erg snel voorbij zijn, en dat was het ook. In een mum van tijd was dit ook weer voorbij ....
