Mihnea - I really like this (in view of what you explained about this character in your last upload). I wonder how this would have translated into B&W, given that the hues are quite muted in this colour verion. I personally think that a more contrasty B&W of this image will be outstanding, and different from the last one, given that there is ample BG features to compliment his environment.

Mihnea Turcu Andre, I also wondered how this would look into BW, but as my skills to transalting it are very weak, i gave up the idea quickly! And anyhow, when i posted this picture, i saw it as "additional information" to the previous one - i don't think independently it would stand! And finally, i have decided to keep the reddish color, to kind of...transmit the fairy tale mood. Thank you for your words, i took your idea with me!

Hi! again ... very nice pictures! you are very good in the balkance of light and the colour. Your picture seems painting. Everything is placed well. Just a question (if you like to tell) do you use a fill flash or reflector? soory for my bad englis ;-)

Mihnea Turcu Of course i like to tell :) No, I do not use neither fill flash nor a reflector! But I am strongly thinking at this, at using them in the future, I just have to learn how...

Mihnea, can you tell me the story of this gentleman ? :)

Mihnea Turcu Rui, I am so glad that you have asked ?. Part of this story is also on the previous picture, but i will try telling it again! Where he lives is very far away from Romania?s popular regions, i would say; he was planting onion in his little garden when we have passed nearby, and my girlfriend pointed him to me (thank you, Alina ?); stopped and said hello to him, his face was already crying out in my mind for a picture. He told us directly: ?I?m planting it, but i don?t know if i?ll ever get to eat it, I?m very old...|? Me: ?Well, how old are you?? Him: ?90 years old. You will never find another old man like me around here? smiling! When i asked him to come closer, he jumped the very small fence and invited us inside... He was very proud saying ?I am not the shortest guy in this village, you know, there is another one across the hill, i can show him to you? smiling, while he was actually half of my height, 1 meter 30 something and bent in two due to a hard working life. ?I have never married!!? he said...?Why marry and loose my quietness!? I am happy as i am?. I have asked him about his house, it was build before the 1800, somewhere in the period of Maria Teresa of Austro-Ungaria, and he kept the house as he got it! ?I don?t need electricity, i have batteries and candles, it?s enough for me!? While i have invited myself inside the house (the outside look was also so very special) I had to actually bent down in half to get in... And when I got in, total surprise, the previous picture is the first shot that i took...! ?You will never find another old man like me!!!? he said to me sitting in my knees to reach his eye level! I am not overstating the story at all, but while we were next to him, I have felt all the peacefulness and calm of the world surrounding me! His life was so special, so different! Even at this age, you could see this man drove his life the way he wanted and he was up to it till the end of it! That?s a short story and written very chaotic now..., imagine yourself discovering a cave filled with gold, that?s how i have felt back then, next to him ? regards, Mihnea!
