The Simple Things

As I sat about ten feet from this amazing woman, I began to notice how the simplest of things gave her the most joy. I waited patiently as she played a game of cards with her daughter until this moment unfolded. It's not the money or the material in life that gives us the most joy. Live your life for those that you love.

Nothing to say for light...it's great, actually I find everything great technically in this pic...

Elderly people are most of the time very nice to shoot, it's the perfect example !

I'm a little in doubt about the feeling of the subject..I can't get if the subject is smiling or crying but I like not to be sure..it's one of the interests of this pic !

Shane Peterson Thank you very much. I would be delighted to give you information. This photo is of my grandmother. I have been away at university all year while my grandmother has been fighting illness. She is 96 but a strong fighter nonetheless. I came home to see her and captured this image as she was playing cards with her daughter. This photo was taken with natural light through two windows.

lucas markides now that I Know the story of this photo. It is much more magic than before..... if it is possible!!
