If this photo had been shot with a "normal lens" it wouldn't have passed the screening. BUT NOW, thanks to the fish-eye it feels like you watching the world from a distance. The bend of the horison is awsome! The antenna or whatever it is in the bottom and the thing in the right-down-corner bugs me a little. Otherwise, Supernice!

Thanks for all your kind comments! The lens I used is a Tokina 10-17 f/3,5 - 4,5 DX Fisheye at 10mm.

I Bought it at B&H in NY during my weekend trip to NY last weekend. Most of you probably know about the place, heaven for a photographer. Went straight to Empire State building afterwards, queued for one hour to get to the top of the building and shot this picture :-)

If you want to see more photos I took with the lens and some other more normal NY photos you can go to www.rogermadsen.com/nyc

Yes really spectacular, looks like the bending of the planet (but it would be very small if it was =) It would have been a nice shot with any lens but this effect certainly adds a whole lot to the message and visual impact! I'm curious, what lens did you use?
Why not? This is perhaps the perfect moment to use a fish-eye! Good work, Roger!
