Special and sensible! Congratulations for this capture!
Sandy Powers  Mirela! Thank you! so much!
I really loved it in screening. I think they both understand each other very good.
Sandy Powers  Thank you Kevin! I think you are right. When he saw his feathered friend, he instantly forgot all about me and our conversation. It was all about him and the duck. I imagine that he basks in the lack of judgment or the conditions that his duck friend places on him. I wish we could all be like animals that way :)
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Kevin? Who is Kevin? Kaveh, KAVEH, KAAAAVEH. Quack Quack!
Sandy Powers  Ohhhhh. . .I am so sorry! KAVEH! My sleepy eyes played tricks on me! !!!

Awesome Sandy! For some reason this is so "Texas" to me...I love it! Reminds me of when we lived in south Texas and would go to San Antonio for the day. Wonderful.
Sandy Powers  :) It is Texas isn't it. I'm really glad you like it! THANK YOU!!! I didn't know you used to live in these parts :) ?
jasonlprice  I lived in Uvalde for a year..grew up in North Texas (Bonham, TX). I used to love to go to Austin and your photo really takes me back to that area.

Nicely seen Sandy. It makes me feel like this is his only friend. Very touching.
Sandy Powers  Thank you, Terri! I think my ol' street friend may not have too many friends, but any heart that can make such friends with a duck is a friend of mine :)

I don't know what the story behind this photo is, but it has to be an interesting one.
Sandy Powers  This is a homeless man that I met first downtown. I actually have another photo of him published. Then, I saw him again at a park I frequent. In the middle of our conversation, he saw his feathered friend, who obviously knew him, so he ran off and he picked him up and sat him down beside him and played his harmonica for him as if I'd never even been there. At that moment, there was nothing in his world but his music and his duck :)
David Orias  Thanks for providing the background.

Sandy Powers  Thanks, Robyn! It made me smile too. It is totally unstaged. We had been having a conversation, but when he saw his feathered friend, he completely forgot about me and ran off to pick him up and play for him :) I loved it!

Touching a scene, full of emotion.
Sandy Powers  Thank you, Michal! Since I love ducks so much, and could see his obvious tenderness towards his feathered friend, it made me feel emotional too :)

Ok which came first the Adam or was Eve really a goose. This is a fun shot.
Sandy Powers  At that moment, I'm not sure Eve could have competed with his devoted feathered friend :) There was an obvious mutual connection between them. We had been talking, and when he saw the duck from across the park, he ran to her -- mid conversation -- and picked her up, set her down and started playing as if I had never been there. I loved it.

Unfortunately, nobody listen the elders anymore...
Sandy Powers  Tee hee. ..well, this feathered somebody does, and I'm not sure at that moment he even cared about anyone else :) He totally dropped his conversation with me, mid-sentence, to go pick up his duck from across the park where he lives and play for her :) I loved it.

Sandy Powers  Aww, thanks, Bragi!! My harmonica playing homeless friend has sure given me alot of mileage, hasn't he :)

I like it. Very amusing.

Regards `°|°´ Peter
Sandy Powers  Thanks, Peter! It is refreshing, isn't it, to see a homeless guy in such dire cirumstances, who can still get lost in the music -- and the love of an animal :)
