Wesley Law  Thanks Charlie. I abandoned the car when I caught a glimpse of this. Got wet on the way back after the rain caught up to me. I was happy though.
Charlie Packard  Wesley, thanks, I wondered what the story was. I had a slightly similar situation last year. The weather forecast had promised interesting skies in an area 30 mins away so I drove out. After 3 hours nothing materialised, so I put my Lee filters away and started walking down the hill, back to my car. Turned round and saw the classic 'UFO' break in the clouds. Started running back up the hill, so that I could reach a point where I could capture the area where the light was landing...at the same time trying to find the 3 stop ND filter which I had just put away carefully in its felted store pocket. The result, not nearly as exciting as yours was here:-

Now I always walk down hills backwards !! :~)
