great work Charlie :)
Charlie Packard  Greetings Suliman :)...it's all the hard work of Zeiss...but thank you for your lovely comment!

I was last in Kuwait in 1972 and I hope your country is now prospering again after that little hiccup with your neighbour!

These flowers are so tiny they need all the help they can get to survive...I'll bet they look even more attractive to insects!!

WOW. D700 but this is only one part. the other is the lens and not to forget your mind and eyes.
Excellent.
Charlie Packard  Thank you for your kind comment Hannes. For me the lens quality is so important and all I have to do is press the shutter...sometimes it works :)

This is breathtaking Charlie, simplicity working with nature at it's best, congratulations. I am thrilled to see that you also use a D700, I recently replaced my D300 and I am really happy. All the best Charlie.
Charlie Packard  Many thanks Wayne...the D700 is a total delight! Also kept my D200 as the best 1.5x 'TC' available :) If only one's composition skills could be developed so easily !!

The light is very beautiful, Charlie.
Charlie Packard  Thank you for your kind words, Marei :>) The D700 measured the 0800 light well; what really pleased me was the perfect manual focus I achieved @ f2.8 before breakfast and with a bit of a hangover !!
Marei  Thank You, Charlie.
Your Zeiss lenses are great! :-)
sweet image indeed !
Charlie Packard  Many thanks Helminadia...these tiny flowers rarely get noticed!

So you have a zeiss lens on your Nikon? wow! YOu should be out shooting blue bells
Charlie Packard  Sometimes a reply takes a long time to construct !! Apologies, Wings, and thanks for your comment. You'll be glad to hear that I checked out this year's bluebells last week and they are nearly ready. Whether the curators like my efforts is another matter altogether :) Zeiss can do little wrong in my opinion.
Very nice, sharp and crisp!!

great composition and colors.
Charlie Packard  Thanks for taking the time to comment, Thomas. It was an interesting challenge to try and get this tiny, often insignificant, flower accepted
Thomas Wegner  Charlie. what about your lens? Zeiss is really expensive. Do you have a lens with autofocus or manual focus? What is your experience with the lens. Perhaps you could send me an few pictures. I am really interested in zeiss optic.
Charlie Packard  Thomas, they are manual focus and worth it...I was lucky enough to make my purchases before the £UK collapsed! I never had autofocus on my film cameras and find manual focus preferable for my landscape and nature interests.
I used my Zeiss ZF lenses for most of my shooting last year. You can get an idea of their performance at http://www.pbase.com/charliepackard

BTW this shot was handheld. I was in Northumberland for a photographic course and had to inspect the hotel's kitchen garden as the food had been so good the previous evening! :)
Thomas Wegner  Charlie!
Wow, you have a "Zeiss Lens Park". ;-) Thanks for your webaddress. The pictures are very intersting.
Beautiful....
Charlie Packard  Thank you Frederick...
