Shell
This is my own interpretation of the imposing Oriente railway station in Lisbon. Architect Santiago Calatrava succeeds again and again to design variations in its architectural theme where light and space have the leading role. In the station there is a subway station, a train (commuter trains and high speed lines), an (inter)national bus station, a shopping center and a police station.

The photo shows the roof construction at the main entrance of the railway station that is distorted into a giant shell by using an extreme wide-angle lens.

Mooie klep!

I like the finish on this one. Lots of architectural images have a very high gloss finish. This one is much more toned down / introvert in the finish. I like that.

Schitterend en een heel mooi standpunt! Het is net of het zo zou dichtklappen. Een prachtig station is dit zeg!

Brilliant and a beautiful view! It's like so would clap. Say this is a beautiful Station.
theo peekstok  Indeed a great station, and indeed is Calatrava the architect. The master of lines and light.....

great coposition Theo;
The use of the extreme wide-angle lens creates a very interesting perspective.

theo peekstok  Thank you Piet, good to hear you like the perspective. It's a bit extreme, on the edge I think, so I gave it a try and it was accepted.

Gr. Theo
Very interesting perspective.
