Your wonderful photo is for me a quintessential experience of what I remember a European Street to look like.. The kiosk selling everything from cigarettes to stamps, the hint of old architecture in the background and of course someone walking, not driving..oh and I almost forgot the stone/cobble/slate or maybe marble street!:) Its wonderful. Dragan Jovancevic  thank you Phyllis. i also love those italian city streets, they have a very special atmosphere. i hope to be able to spend more time in venice this year, which is by far the most spooky, yet beautiful and fascinating in my opinion. i found this scene in siena so interesting because of all the concentrated richness and detail that made it seem like an oasis compared to its surrounding.
