Travelers
They came on a depth of 45 meters. The visibility above was terrible, but below 40 Meter the water cleared up suddenly and the temperatur droped to 14 degrees. I was stunning for minutes before I realized that I should capture what was going on. There where hundreds of hammerheads and they never stopped swimming. It seemed to me like cars on a highway. I've got cold and decompressiontime forced me to ascend to surface, but the sharks don't noticed me.

Amazing sight. There is something special about seeing sharks while you're in the water with them.

Good one! And a nice experience.
I saw around 50 of them last year in the Philippines. It was my worst dive ever..
I had a tooth infection. I dropped in negative, managed to stop at 5 meters, screaming in pain. Up again, then slowly down meter by meter. It took me 20mins to reach 20m. Finally I was hanging at 27, looking at circling sharks under me.
I had to make a choice, as I didn't know how it would be going up again. I think I had something like 11mins left before deco. I decided to survive..
It was just as bad going up, until something bursted in my mouth, and all was ok.
Hopefully next time I will be able to get down.
Norbert Probst  Thank you. I had an reversal in Croatia. Same thing. Very painful. Where at the Philippines you have seen the sharks?
Lars Grepstad  The place was Kimud Shoal, not so far from Malapascua, Cebu. In the season Hammerheads are spotted regularly. Then you have the Monad Shoal with the Threshers on the way back to Malpascua. So on a lucky day..
If you plan for Philippines, contact me. Especially for Visayas. I know the area quite well after diving there since 98.
Norbert Probst  Thank you for the offer, Lars. On May 8. I go to Sabang Beach to do two underwater workshops. I've been there several times. It's a good place for teaching uw-photography.

Terrific image Norbert. It actually 'looks' 14 degrees:)
Norbert Probst  Thanks. Yes I fear the cold much more than sharks!
Andre du Plessis  2nd look at this. And it is even more stunning. I sincerely hope that you will show us more underwater photography.
Norbert Probst  Thank you very much. The next one is on screening.
