A somptuous B&W!
Excellent.

It's simple and beautiful, but still it has a lot of story to it.
One of my favorite pictures without a doubt. I can look at it for hours.

It is a beautiful picture....so simple but with a strong message (?) I love it
Christopher Scott  I have the text that goes with it on the exhibition (lower left corner on the homepage)
Thanks for your comment!

Your idea is fantastic and so well executed.. we can philosophize about trees in hands in many directions and during a long long time...A real creation
Christopher Scott  Thanks a lot Flo, it was my idea to have something to talk about with the series I created, I didn't want to much about it but described my short interpretation. I'm glad you like it, cheers.

Extra! :)
Christopher Scott  I'm not sure what this means in Croatia, but I'll take it as a compliment! Thanks a lot Kresimir.

Christopher Scott  Thank you Bonita, I might be able to exhibit them in some places/restaurants around Basel, so if you ever get to be around there let me know!

I love this.
Best!
Cile
Christopher Scott  Cile, I love your comments, the cuteness of em makes me smile every time :)
Thanks!
Cile Bailey  I love to spread happiness so thanks!...I have to tell you something. I was out of town today and stopped by someones house to borrow their Cam recorder. I know Nothing about this but just felt the need to make a small movie. So driving home on the endless highway, I had time to think about my first movie. What do you suppose came into my headf? The hand with the little tree growing. I could not get your photograph out of my mind... I guess it must have been very important to me for some reason. So thanks for the post.......Always, Cile

I really like this a bunch, awesome blending. I believe this is the best of all three for a couple of reasons. The tree is something that everyone can relate to, and nature is such a powerful thing. Secondly, the basic symmetry a tree has is so pleasing and makes for such an uncomplicated composition with many interesting lines. I think what I am trying to say is that people can relate to the tree more easily than the others, and the composition is just so nice. I look forward to seeing more...and congrats on your upcoming showing...hope it goes well for you.
Christopher Scott  Thank you very much Bernard, I think you are right about people relating to the tree. It has accompanied us from the beginning of mankind, right? ;)
But I think it's good that the other two aren't that a common/relatable motive since it would make the series way to cheesy.
About doing more, at the moment I won't be continuing this series, but might at a later time. I'm all exited about the weekend and am curious what the people will think there...
Thanks again for taking the time to comment on this.

I think this one is the best of the series. I don't care for the other two much.
Christopher Scott  Thanks Daniel, what makes this one stand out so much more than the others?
Daniel  The editing looks better - more subltly done. The image is almost believable whereas the others just look like an edit job.
Christopher Scott  Yea I get your point. People can picture this image as if it was a really small tree, that wasn't really my goal though. With the others it's clearer, a person never would fit in a hand a boat wouldn't either... So it has to be an edit.

Best regards Anne Lene
Christopher Scott  Thanks a bunch Anne
Christopher, I can see where you are coming from: Jerry Uelsmann is one of the greatest surrealist photographers ever! But your image, although inspired by him is going along a slightly different pathway (which is really an achievement). So, I look forward to seeing your series and congratulate you on this image.
Christopher Scott  Thanks for the kind words Marcello, I haven't heard of this artist before, but am really thankful I got to see his work, it really is inspiring!
Loads of work is keeping me busy, but stay tuned...

Zoe Wiseman  I'm sorry for the typo! I'm sure that kept you busy with google. ha. Next time I'll check my spelling.
This is a great photograph and I'm glad I got to turn you on to Jerry! yay!
Christopher Scott  Is this the guy who did this before?
Couldn't find anything on google from Ulseman...

I much prefer this to the WS one, the b/w makes it much stronger, more surreal.

This is a great image, very classy PS work.
