Het was een hels werk deze uit te snidjen van de achtergrond, maar het was de moeite.

Jeannette Oerlemans Ja! Ik weet het, het is heel veel werk. Als die kleine dingetjes. Ik heb het ooit eens met een fiets gedaan, al die spaken. De psd bewaar ik altijd, zodat ik het ooit nog eens ergens ik kan gebruiken.

Ik heb daar mijn eigen manier voor en gebuik zelden plug-ins, tenzij het echt noodzakelijk en mogelijk is.

Hoe:
laag copieren > gommetje van 5 to 9 (kan ook met transperant gommetje)
> dan maar klikken rond element, terwijl de shift knop indrukken... de rest weg met toverstokje.
Het geeft een zuivere uitsnijding die je niet kan bereiken met de meeste plug-ins.
Als het om een personage gaat op een achtergrond geplaats, verzacht ik de kanten met het "druppeltje 5 point"+ shift indrukken, zodat het niet opgeplakt lijkt. Bij een hard voorwerp is dit echter niet nodig.

Excellent work, Ben, very well done, nice idea too...and I've always loved that song! Again, my feeling is that without the `scratchy thing` the image would look even better, but this is just my personal opinion, it seems that I am against the mainstream love and understanding for the need of an 'vintage, ancient, old looking' atmosphere to almost every subject! Sorry for the offtopic, not a critique intention...more just some ramblings! Congrats for being published!

I have both versions, but lately I prefer it with scratches, just because it give those vintages colors. When I print it on "Matt Archival" paper is look like a painting, on canvas big format even better.

Codrin Lupei Thanks a lot for taking the time to write your thougts about this, Ben, I appreciate this...well, this is probably the reason I'm not very fond of these 'vintage textures', I love paintings to look like paintings and photographs like photographs, but of course this is just me, even the surreal montages for me look absolutely perfect without 'the old look' feeling...Anyway, an excellent creation, congrats again! Btw, I'd appreciate a bit more attention when writing names, it's not that difficult! Have a wonderful day!
