A different point of view
I've been, with a routine, photographing the Radio Company Super Contatto concert from a dark corner of the pretty big stage. The singer (on the photo) didn't seem to like that fact. He came to me, took my arm and dragged me on the center front of the stage. Fighting back my confusion, embarrassment and weak knees, I grabbed my chance and took three shots with a wide angle lens - my camera high over my head - to catch the singer surrounded by the happy crowd of people. I liked this one the most where the singer looked at the camera and thus by paradox became part of the observing crowd while I became the star. :)

This image is amazing. Why would he not want you to photograph ? Or is it that he wanted you to photograph from the center of the stage and get real close? I love that expression, and the expressions of evvvvveryone out there completely in focus - real story telling image. For something like this I would think you'd need a large aperture to get the shot in the low light...if you don't mind me asking, what aperture did you use? The depth and detail of seeing every face in that crowd really makes this shot.
dalibor  Yes Karl, he wanted me to make the photo and dragged me to the front of the stage.
It was not a low light situation actually: the strong lights that usually lighten the public were on at that moment so there were enough light for a good shot. In fact, the singer is not really in focus which can be seen on the high res picture - the focus was done on the public since I focused not looking through the viewfinder but holding the camera above my head.
f2.8, 1/80, ISO 400
The f2.8 with 16mm lens aperture gives a pretty big DOF.
Thanks!
