What a pleasure to see your weary lady as the feature! Congratulations!!
1st time I see this one of yours.
gerard sexton  Andre thank you quite a surprise one I might not have known about were it not for yours & Codrins remarks. This image holds a lot of memories & it was a breakthrough in my getting to grips with what are now routine & sometimes simple but fiddly methods in PS that for years I told myself I couldn't come to terms with. Thanks my friend for your support.

a very nice chosen concept and good capture . everythinng is good except that the editing is too visible in the left side of the photo. Thanks.
gerard sexton  Thank you Mina. An interesting observation & one that is worth considering. How do you think I might improve it?
Mina  Well you for sure know the better, I personally thought if it's the trace of a blur or clone toolbar, it could have preferebly remain a little bit sharper.(on the left down corner the logo and a way upward...) Maybe you shall use some color replacement?
gerard sexton  Oh I see well no I actually used layer style & burnt that area out since it was distracting in the original I think I could be even more harsh if it is printed. It was very flat light in the bus & a tricky exposure so I had to do quite a bit to give the image more tonal depth by creating darker areas I feel it brings out the lighter areas better & the viewer can concentrate on the woman. Thanks though for not being afraid to mention this It is valuable to hear what others think no matter what. Have a good week.

Colmar Wocke 2 years ago
gerard,

Lovely one this - my congrats. Especially like the sleepy mood of the dame being well portrayed here - tonal range in the picture suits this (not harsh at all).

Successfull, for sure.

Colmar
gerard sexton  Colmar this is definitely not an exact science I re-uploaded this today & to my surprise it was almost instantly accepted. The original was flat as I under cooked the tonal distribution especially overlooking how I could bring out the womans jacket (I think simply because I was thinking colour; fluorescent is not a happy colour for most) the result being a bit grey & drab & I consigned it to the bin. My recent achievements with Ps encouraged me to take an other look. Hey presto... Positive thinking pays off. The dark steamy bus (was taken in summer) was a difficult environment but I have learnt that there is a way with determination to recover some images! Thank you for your words my friend!
