Ursula I Abresch  Thank you! This one was made on tripod, long exposure, polarizer filter (I'd have to find the original to find the exact settings, but it's in the range of 1-2 seconds, f16 or so I think).

Ursula! Now this one is so unusual...beautiful strong texture with soft magical water. Beautiful work (as usual...;-)...)!

I didn't know you were into long exposures, Mal will have to watch out now! Stunning shot!
Ursula I Abresch  Oh, I've been "into" them for a long time, just not in the same way as Mal. He has nothing to worry about :) I have to say, one of these days I want to learn how Mal does his picture, I just love them!

You have mastered these kind of shots. A lesser subject (meant in the best way) but wonderful flowing trail of color and light.

Cheers
Ursula I Abresch  Thank you, Ansel. That's a very beautiful compliment from you! :)

Hi Ursula,
This shot made me revisit your portfolio. Until now I wasn't used to this kind of expression. But learning, going my way in time, opening my eyes everydy a little bit more, I must admit it is realy impressive work. It enters very discretely and gentle, but then it is a very fine feeling to percept all these complex feelings it awakes.
piet
Ursula I Abresch  Piet, thank you very much for your words. I often feel quite unsure about my pictures, about my approach, and yet, it is the way that works for me to express what I see in and feel about the world around me. I think it is a good thing that we don't all see the world the same way through our photos. Thank you again!

Eine sehr schoene Zcenerie. ist das denn nicht der Gleiche Bachlauf auch wie auf dem Einstiegs-Bild Deiner Seite hier?

Gruss Franz
Ursula I Abresch  Yes, it is the same place. I go there quite often. It's a beautiful place to climb around. This little stream has a number of beautiful chutes, rock-slides, and one waterfall in this area, but it is quite steep and difficult to access some of it.
Franz Schumacher  Hello Ursula,

Thanks for the other details.
(as much in English, I just get together :-)

Gruss Franz
I gess, there is a mystery behind the blue. Maybe another world.
Ursula I Abresch  Well, it's very green pool where the water falls into, and below that a rock slide and then a rather beautiful waterfall, and some more rocks slides. It's pretty hard to access further down though.

Your picture is special for many reasons. For me it look always like a drawing to see in a child's storybook - because the details are amazing, and the light fairytale like. Exceptionally nice Ursula! My best, Phyllis
Ursula I Abresch  Thank you, Phyllis. I think if I were a kid I might find this scary - I've always been afraid of falling into water and drowning. :)
Phyllis Clarke  Ursula..:) I made so many mistakes typing. Sorry. I wanted to say it looked almost like a drawing because it is so detailed..like an illustration..and I mean that in a good way of course. I wish I had made the picture..Drowning..I don't swim Ursula so if I fell in..I would die. :)
Ursula I Abresch  Phyllis, as I've told you before, you worry WAY TOO MUCH! Your typing, and the way you express yourself, is just fine, and I took it as a big compliment. I love water, but I am also terribly afraid of it! It's a constant in my life, the love/fear of water.

Wow this is amazing Ursula what an incredible image so dramatically beautiful so daring a POV or so it seems! where were you hanging by a rope?
Ursula I Abresch  Thank you, Gerard. No, not hanging by a rope. There are some rocks that jut out into the water just above the chute, and if I get my tripod set up right, I can be almost, not quite, but almost, on top of the chute. I dropped the camera into the river once (not this one, a different one) doing something like this, so I have to be very careful now.

The "source" of the waterfall up right...it seems to come out of the universe itself. So beautiful and special.
Ursula I Abresch  Yes it is, coming from the bottom of the image. Never thought of it as out of the universe itself, but that's a beautiful way to look at it. Thank you! :)

this isnt just a beautiful image but it also shows the power of water. the scarred stone can be looked at as the wrinkles of an elder and water is time.
:)
Ursula I Abresch  Yeah, it can. I've been trying to study water for a while now. I like your interpretation, I hadn't thought of it that way, but I like it very much! Thank you!

nearly abstract and very beautiful:-)
Ursula I Abresch  Thank you, Ben. I like working in abstract (don't know if that's the right way to say it). But thank you :)
Ben Goossens  I think, I could hang in the living room (big format) and enter in the explosion of colors and textures, enjoying for a long time ...see other things in it than floating water, that's why I called "abstract".
