Rill under Bleaklow
I found this rill of water running along the bedrock of the moors, the rain didn`t stop falling but it looked a nice place to stop.

I think it´s a beautiful shot. Love that its in b&w. Would´ve been a bit more kitchy if it was in color, I think..

Usually I dislike silky water effect but this photo does something to me. Interested on light effect do.
Paul Adams  I am not a normally a big fan of silky water shots, this image wasn’t totally about the water I was trying to capture the flatness of the river bend and something of the low summit in the distance. The trouble was it was raining at the time and quite overcast, I used a polarising filter to take the reflections of the water, a ND grad filter to darken the sky and shooting with a small aperture meant something had to give and that was the exposure time. I suppose I could have upped the Iso, but to freeze the water would of meant sacrificing the quality and the shape of the flow reflected the v of the valley sky. If you stand up from the position from which I took this shot you basically have a view over a featureless plateau. The flatness of the rock that underlies this landscape is often only exposed in the stream beds.
