I need to tell you the history here. This wok stood outside on my neighbours property and water from the roof dripped on it over some length of time and rusted it. One day, he put it out with the rubbish collection to be taken away and I spotted it before they had collected it. I knew there was a picture in there, with the very special shape of the rust - like a flaming sun or fire!

Indeed - the sun-shape is just "all heat" in the pan!

Natural rust-shapes, caused by dripping water into the pan as it stood under the roof somewhere - my neighbours that he had put out for rubbish and luckily I saw it before it was taken away.
