Mainsail
The facade of a hotel building - looking a little like a ship's sail against the sky (or for that matter, the tailfin of an aircraft).

Fantastic perspective. A piece of minimalistic artwork. Kisses. Ema
Colmar Wocke  Ema,

Isn't that lovely - to get a compliment and "kisses" for a picture.

I am not quite sure what is appreciated more - the comment or the kisses!

Go well.

You have done the best possible editing here, Colmar !
Excellent colours, light and contrast.
Colmar Wocke  Thomnas,

A comment is always nice to get - but there are people here who are "Könner" with this style of picture making (Germans seem to be good at this). So, when I get a LOVELY uplifting comment like this, then it leaves me more than pleased.

Thanks a lot.

You have developed a keen eye for architecture. Bravo!
Colmar Wocke  Balazs,

All over Argentina and Chile I kept seeing Architectural pictures!

You would have a photographic "Ball" in this country - there's so much of almost documentary/street style of motif available there - but, I was not on a purely-photographic trip.

Pleased about your comment - thanks.

Go well my friend,

Colmar

Keep up the good work!
Oona :-)
Colmar Wocke  Oona,

Yes, a bit of a roll but the rejections also come in (this you don't see!).

Thanks for the words of encouragement - your own light up North is so wonderful, so I am glad to read that you like it in this picture too.

Go well.

Thanks very much for the lovely thoughts on the picture - and, thank you very much for showing me the way here. I needed the "courage" to add punch to the picture and the Critique-help was just perfect!

Colmar Wocke  Phyllis,

Thanks a lot for the very apt comment about the Mother-of-Pearl - dead right you are!

It needed punch and here too Critique has helped me.

Great textures and I love the colours. I like the way the light and shade emphasises the curve of the building.
Colmar Wocke  Corrine,

Thanks a stack for the comment - I agree the colours are punchy (had it in Critique, where I received some valuable improvement-help on the first-try).

The value of Critique here cannot be overstated.

Go well.

Colmar, slow down please. I am getting bored congratulating you. But, alas, I have to...again! Many congratulations with your very aptly titled and very impressive capture. You are going to miss this building...:)
Colmar Wocke  Andre,

I will have to go back there on a purely-photographic trip. That Continent is literally full of photographic-opportunity of every description. We must talk about, at some point, going there for a 3-week trip. You would have a "ball" with your eye down there.

Thanks!

Top image. Very impressive.
Most appealing composition, good colors.
Colmar Wocke  KP,

When a "Könner" in this type of Photography says this and also gives the reason why, then I can only be pleased and happy. Thanks a million for the words - appreciated here in Switzerland!

Colmar
KPK  You're welcome, Colmar. Your image pleases my eyes :-)

It seems that it is your time on OE :)
bravo Colmar!
good eye..good execution...
Greetings!

Colmar Wocke  Monique,

Sometime a little luck is also good - it was good taking my wife away on this hoiliday (after 25 years).

Imagine if she had said that the camera and lenses had to stay behind on the trip!

Thanks a lot for the words of encouargement and Go Well.

The open windows look just amazing !
Colmar Wocke  Angela,

Maybe this "opened the way" for the picture - this is really an impressive building - I actually have another shot of this (on my hard drive that may be worth uploading in the way-off future).

The picture K E Y B O A R D is actually another viewpoint and angle on this same structure.

It has been very good to me, this hotel!

Go well.
