"...and he with the cap, he was my son"
Fallen Soldiers' Memorial, Armenia.
As you know, there was a war between Armena and Azerbaidjan in the 90s. This lady lost her son in the fighting, and decided to overcome her grief by setting up a museum for all the fallen victims. The walls are covered with photographs of several thousand dead soldiers, while glass display cases hold some personal belongings. Her son was engaged and wanted to marry after the war, like many other of hs fallen comrades, and the lady set up a glass case with a full bride dress and groom suit and all wedding things from plastic flowers to confetti, as a symbolic wedding for all the unmarried soldiers who died in the war. Visiting this little museum was one of the most touching moments of my life.

Moving picture and story. Especially so near to the WW1 remembrance day.
Balazs Pataki  I actually want to go to Passchendale, each season I want, it's not so far from where I live. Only made it once though and there's not much left of Flanders' Fields - nature has totally regenerated. People haven't...
JBA  I have driven through northern France and it looks so very unremarkable. So strange to think what horror went on there. Both my Grandfathers were out there. They never mentioned it. God knows what they saw. . .

Evocative image Balazs, and truly a wonderful documentary study. Your quote/narration has an objective ring to it, so it will be good if you can tell us more about this lady.
Balazs Pataki  I definitely will. Dankie bro.

Great picture Balazs...I am totally agree with Phillis.
What a story.
Balazs Pataki  I was afraid to over-explain it with the title, but took this risk because such contexts are too often lost on our international community here. Thanks Ricky.

Wow..talk about a photo with a story. I feel like I know her now. There is just not much worse than losing a child. So good she had a chance to show him..her pride and joy to even one more person. :) Bravo Balazs..a beautiful memory for her and for you..and now for us. My best, Phyllis
Balazs Pataki  How to say... she tried to get out of her grief with a raised head, as the story will tell (once have the tme to add the description...) Many thanks dear!

Another touching great one, Balazs !
Balazs Pataki  I'm glad it was published because the quality is not 100 - it was impossible to make it more spectacular as expected on 1X. Obviously it could get through taking the category in consideration. The situation was indeed touching. Danke!
