this is a very good picture...lovely idea...but I'm not sure about 34sec shutter time...I thought D80 can just handle 30sec not more...

John Colbensen Hi Siavash . You are a bit wrong about what exposuretime the D80 can handle. The longest fixed expotime is indeed 30 seconds. BUT if you use a remotecontrol (like ML-L3) and set the exposuretime to "bulb" (that's one more turn past the "30 symbol), you can expose for hours and hours. So 34 sec is absolutely no problem :)
Hope this information helps you understand about the expotime :)

Great shot (from Alesund I guess).

John Colbensen Aalesund indeed. We won the norwegian cupfinal in football (soccer) yesterday and the colours of the uniform for our team is orange and blue. Very suitable for this shot as it is in orange and blue :)n´est pas?

John Colbensen I wrote the exifdata under the pic now Alessandro, sorry for not writing it before. I'll try to get better in doing that. I actually shot several different exposures because I had in mind a HDR-image. BUT when going through the pictures I found this one so "finished". And besides it was the only one with the lights from the expressboat. But good optics and a small aperture did the trick. Thank you so much for your comment Alessandro :)
