This photograph has incredibly mature compositional style. The foreground portrait has a wonderfully harsh quality on a textural level. The contests of the soft and delicate tones of the young man in the background emphasizes the character. The eye oscillates between the two subjects even without the peripheral view body language. What I find of great interest is the cropped man on the right. You have forced the viewer to reach beyond the frame and participate in creating/adding to the composition. I see you fave used this concept purposefully and it is very effective.

Thank you all for the kind words. I was more excited to get this published than with my first photo on 1x. Maybe it's all the rejected photos since or that this has more sentimental value for me. I know the composition is weird and I would be surprised if this got popular at screening but this does not matter now and I am very happy this made it in.

I feel humbled that talented photographers add my photos to their favorites and praise my work. This is just a great feeling. Thank you all.
