Ten Years Back

Not a staged portrait but a spontaneous shot of friends at a party. I can't be credited for the idea ! (merely the capture). Title ("10 years back") has multiple meanings for me specifically related to this photo and the moment it was shot.

It is a very strange composition in that it makes the viewer feel like if he is watching a person's reflection in a mirror, a closer look reveals that it is in fact two people speaking together....or am I wrong?

jacques philippe Indeed they are two different persons having just a chat at a party. The picture behind is a shot from my brother's wedding that I did ten years before. On the original shot there is a guy on left, looking upward with lots of light from outside around him. I think the original is even more special but less "direct".

Masterfully done! As others have pointed out, it looks like a frame from a film. But unlike many such shots, this one stands fine on its own.
