Eagle Tree

When there is only one tree in sight, eventually a bird will fly by. Luckily, it was an eagle on this day.

Like Stefano, I too see two trees (if there are two trunks, can it still be considered as one tree?).

Anyway, this is not important. What I would like to say is that this is a classic photo, the emptiness around the tree boosts it's importance in the image even though it occupies so little of the whole. Also, I am drawn to the eagle (the tree and the eagle seem to reinforce each other's importance in the photo). Finally, when I'm done scrutinising tree & bird, the lovely yellow/brown of the land and the amazing clouds are also well worth taking in in their own right.

Mandy Schoch Neil, that is a such a great comment. I really appreciate your taking the time to tell me your thoughts about this one. It was such a beautiful day and the cherry on top was the appearance of the eagle (similar to your plane I suppose :) I am guessing that the tree was neglected at some point, and one of its many shoots grew into another trunk. Whatever the case, I'm glad it has two-- I don't think it would look balanced with one. Lucky for me times 2 :) Thank you!
