I see watercolors and I love this view on a rainy day!!!!
A great shot!
I had one similar in last holiday through the car window.
I hated it in the moment I took it (cause it was raining in my holiday not only one day....)
but at home I loved the picture, as I now love your´s!

I like a lot his image:-) even when it was done with post production (PS).
It's the result that counts and not the way it is produced.

Gerard,
I often find myself, as I'm sure many of us do, in debates with people about whether photography is art. Painters are artists, sure. Sculptors are artists, of course. But photographers...? I know that we here are all in agreement about what art really is. And when I see a photograph straight out of the camera such as yours, with a combination of very real AND impressionistic qualities packed into one frame-- something that no other type of artist can capture I might add-- and the word "art" practically stamped across it, I wonder (with an audible sigh) if the skeptics of the world will ever come around.

Who knows. But I bet if Monet was still around to see this image, he'd first want to shake your hand, and then go off to buy a camera.

gerard sexton It is yes it just goes to show that with some luck & knowledge of what is possible not everything has to be PP'd. The key here was switching the lens to manual focus to avoid getting the window in focus but also to select a point outside of the car.

This is excellent poof that sharpness is not the first rule in photography. This is one, as I call, rhapsody in blur. Bravo. In the same time it is very positive because, jury of this site recognized art here.

gerard sexton I couldn't agree more Dragan there are times when as viewers we can do well to step outside of convention & suspend judgments around technical merit to see a bigger picture! Its not easy because as exponents we are all too often living by the same rules. Thank you for your kind words.

gerard sexton ;-')) its why for me I choose to leave the scene as it was because each element adds something & yes its an impression. I could easily have made a different image by selecting the window as the point of focus but I didn't & I am happy to have made this image the way it is. Thank you for your words.

gerard sexton Well Tommy it can be difficult to predict but I was so happy with the result even though some say the noise is disturbing I feel it actually adds to the pastel effect I cannot really find any reason to alter this & thats not intended as an arrogant statement either just comes from the heart I know what I like & I know when I get it...
