You have expanded your equipment on FX, as you get used to the new camera and lens?

Doug Roane Thanks Stan. The 5DMII is set up very much like my Canon 40D and 30D, so it was very easy. The major difference is that the live view resolution is soooooooo good, I now use it extensively in checking focus and dof pre- and post capture.

really like it, and for me it's a slightly different perspective on the standard 'waterfall' shot - with the eye having to dart upward to the left at quite a steep angle, giving the impression of extreme height!

hey congrats on another publishing Doug, I remember this shot too, did you go with the less cropped version here? seems like you did, I really liked this shot too, the color and motion in the water are awesome, love the detail and light on this shot, well done

Doug Roane Thank you ja - wasn't sure if this one would fly here on 1x, but I'm 3 for 3 the last week! :) You might have noticed that many landscape photos that are extremely well received on nature forums just won't pass screening on 1x - especially waterfalls!! :)

And yes, I decided to go with a crop in between the 2:3 uncropped, and the very narrow 1:2 crop
