Patterns in the Field
A fence clearly separates the two sections of this field - the one side has a texture, perhaps caused by plowing or trodden out by cows. The textural difference between the two sides has been made visible by the light snowfall. I simply liked the graphic lines here.

Beautiful image. Brings thoughts to my mind about two lovers, separated by circumstance. "Worlds Apart" might have been a nice title in that sense.
Cheers :)
Colmar Wocke  Thanks for writing down the extra insight here - yes, an alternate interpretation for sure.

Colmar Wocke  Juha,

Once again, my thanks to you. A simple, graphical image but I too, like it very much.

Beautifully seen Comar. This is a wonderful image with great graphical qualities. Makes me hungry to get out and shoot when the snow flies again!

beautiful Colmar...this is snow right...?
Colmar Wocke  Ricky,

Snow, yes. Saw it one still morning and I was intrigued by the pure, pure white snow on the one side and the texture on the other - perfectly separated by the fence.

Many thanks - glad you like it and also that you left a comment.

Great minimalist and 'graphic' capture!!
Colmar Wocke  Ada,

Yes - minimalist for sure!

Thanks so much for your comment - always nice to hear/read others opinions - in this case, regarding the minimilast idea, I agree.

However, also thanks for your postive and encouraging comment to me!

Go well.

Nice, simple and effective....a good example of less is more

Cheers Chris
Colmar Wocke  Chris,

Dead right about the "less is more" idea - maybe "MINIMAL" may have made an alternate title!

Thanks a ton for the nice comment you've left me after viewing the picture.

Go well - looks like I'll see you in London in 2 weeks time.

Very nice one, Colmar!
Colmar Wocke  Johan,

So glad to hear/read that you find it agreeable - a simple, graphic picture with some texture, almost no colour (in reality) and geometric patterns!

Nice of you to have left your comment for me - appreciated!

divemako,

Never thought of it as "Ying" and "Yang" myself, however your viewing of it and the comment has increased my own enjoyment of it! Thanks so much!

Yes - a dead "simple" picture that I was unsure how it would be viewed here. I am often drawn to such simple geographic shapes and patterns. This morning was "dead quiet" on top of it which made the shape stand out more.

Go well.

i like this ,though it looks pretty "simple" with your creativeness it had turn out a master piece. It looks like part of the "ying" and the "yang".

Congrats, great shot, love the harmony thing photo delivers.
Colmar Wocke  Faddoush,

Many thanks for your well-formulated feeling in your comment - nice of you!

So often people don't actually leave a comment (of course it is an effort to do it) after having viewed the picture.

Graciously appreciated by me!

What vision you have to see this, and to know how it would look. Shot from above makes the differences show even more. A big Bravo for capturing this. My best, Phyllis
Colmar Wocke  Phyliis,

Very nice and decent of you to leave me the comment - this is such a "simple" picture and I am actually very buoyed-up by your comment here. I thought at the time of submitting - "What would people think when they had to evaluate such a simple picture?"

However, just by leaving me the comment that you did, I have actually received a much broader answer and insight to this.

So, in summary - a much valued comment!

Go well as always,

Colmar (here in Switzerland).

Excellent minimalistic picture with strongly different fields and events on each of them.
Colmar Wocke  Dragan,

Thank you so much - I've just woken up and saw your comment to the picture!

Minimalistic is such a good description here - it may even have made an alternate title.

Go well and thanks, once again, for leaving your nice comment ;-)

Great shot Colmar - simple but effective and beautiful!
Colmar Wocke  Brin,

Your description is so spot on, to my mind - exactly as I myself experience the picture.

Your own Portfolio is simply stunning here - so your comment is extra special in its meaning to me! Thanks!

By the way - I see we are roughly the same age (I was born February 1958).

Go well and I wish you good shooting oportunities.

Colmar
Brin  Yes you are right, it's not very much between us in age, I was born in November 1961. Thanks for your kind words about my photos. I really like your photos - keep up your good work.

Thanks so much for the "weekend wishes" that have come with the publishing of the picture!

Winter - yes, perhaps nicer on a picture than in "real life", so often.

Hi Colmar. 'The division line' - so well seen, and the fence's curve gives this such a pleasing composition. Roll on winter...!
Colmar Wocke  Andre,

Thanks for the SMS-today!

Yes, here we have such a clinically-clean simple composition actually. My graphically-driven Rocket Scientist eye just could not resist this - not a classical, perfect composition by no means but nevertheless interesting.

Baie dankie!

Colmar
I loved in this in screeing. Beautiful
Colmar Wocke  Angela,

My thanks to you for voting "correctly" - I saw your comment that you left behind in screening.

However, thanks again for stopping by once more and leaving the comment - very decent of you and much appreciated by me when an artist of your calibre does this.

Go well.

Thanks for your comment after viewing the picture - maybe I was subconciously "prodded-on" by your own published picture this week, which also had a minimalist approach.

Go well.
