I'm a bit late, haven't been very active around here recently..

I think the quote says it all.. wondering whether the stairs is a way up.. or down.

Fab work.
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Uncle Nietzsche ;-)

I don't know where the ladder is going either. Maybe both directions in different times?

Thank you very much Dria....

Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Hi Joan,

Well, I haven't done any pictures especially for a CD cover. But an english rock-band used two of my images for their cover and their site.

The music selection makes it!
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Very happy that someone mentioned the music!!! It is all about the music. This piece of Beethoven is one of his strangest. The Grosse Fuge Op. 133. It is not beautiful with classical music definitions, but it is amazingly beautiful if you know Beethoven and his life well. One of his latest works. Very wild and full of dissonances. I have read somewhere that this piece takes you to a journey into a blackhole and shows you everything what is not visible.

Thank you very much John for your comment and thank you for listening to music ;-)
John Taylor  You are welcome, as a child my father played records of a wide range of classical music for me. He was especially fond of Beethoven.
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  I have started with classical with Beethoven too. I don't play any instruments, but music is my life. Somehow I'm happy with just listening. Don' feel the need to play anything. Beethoven was for many years my number one, but it changed. Three are on top. At the moment Beethoven is my second ;-)

Made me think of a black hole in the earth in which ladders, books, birds and even clouds disappear and only the writer remains.... lol
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  I really like your interpretation. I haven't had this thought by myself. I actually couldn't understand if those books are falling inside the hole or are coming out.

Thank you very much Hans ;-)

Superb Kaveh, each to his own interpretation, a work of art.
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Yeah, different interpretations. It is very interesting to see that different people see very different things in a picture!

Thank you very much Alex for your comment and favorites ;-)

This reminds me a bit of something by Jerry Uelsmann...which is why I got into photography! So I love it :o) Great job!
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Ah! Jerry Uelsmann??? I wished I could create a picture only near to his works. He is genial. And I'm really really happy that you compared this a bit with his works. I'm proud. Thank you very much Boscopix ;-)
Boscopix  Your very welcome! :o) I once attempted to do something like what he does in a darkroom...let's say no one ever got to see that! haha
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  hehe...zeig es mir, zeig zeig ;-)

The ladder and the birds makes a wonderful entrance into the picture, that together with the circular movements in the sky creates incredible dynamics and tensions in the picture. In opposition to the poor office-worker (you?), working as a thoughtless maschine.
Great Art! :-)
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Hi Lars,

Thank you very much for your thoughtful comment and interpretation. Very interesting that you got the opposite message! That guy (yes, me) isn't an office-worker and he is not at all sitting there thoughtless. If you had the highres. image, you could zoom and see what those books are. Pessimistic philosophy and the life of one the greatest composers ever who had difficulties for being in the social life. The headlessness in most of my works doesn't symbolize thoughtlessness but the overdose of thoughts and dissolving in a whole mood of surrounded atmosphere created by many triggers.

But you are right. When I look at that part of the picture, I see that the guy is sitting very soulless...hmmm...I should change it ;-)

Thanks again ;-)
