Excellent work, King.

Very well composed and I love the light dressed dancer in the background thats doing the same pose as her in the front. That brings that little extra to this I believe.

Superb King. I missed this as I was away. Love how you have chosen this moment, how her body line echoes the backdrop, and how your point of view/angle was just right to allow her to stand proud of the audience. The toning also so sympathetic to the mood here, with the wash of the window light not at all interfering, rather complimenting the intimacy of this interior scene. Altogether so well executed. Well done!

King Douglas Thanks, nicoleta. This is the Boston Ballet Company on tour in China, doing their daily company class in front of an audience of Chinese visitors as well as their entourage.

magnificent! You are so lucky to have been there in 1980! it must've been so different from when I lived there in 2007-8

King Douglas Apparently 1980 differed greatly from 2007-8. Few cars...mainly the sound of bicycle bells, and the sweetest people. I was in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzho for about 16 days with the Boston Ballet Company, which was on tour there.
