Chris Dixon  Peter,

thanks for the comment and the link to cruzine.com. They seem to have a lot of 1x pictures there but at least they credit us.

I forgot to ask ui how on earth did you get the hairs on his back end so sharp.
Chris Dixon  Believe it or not but I was playing with a new toy (50mm 1.4) and after about 50 shots this one came out. Most of the white on the Bees back end was fine but some of them a little overexposed so I fixed it with a little bit of photoshop. But promise you won't tell anyone

Never thought I could feel for a bee, but I can't help find this one cute and share her effort with an urge to encourage her! Such great storytelling, not to mention the obvious perfect quality... :)
Chris Dixon  Charlie,

many thanks. If I told you it was the result of playing around with a new lens (50mm 1.4) last summer. I think I was rather lucky!! Although it did take about 50 shots to end up with this one!! :-)

Cool shot Chris.
Korsakov would be astounded.
Chris Dixon  Lee, thanks...I think he may have raised a smile
Johan Nieuwerth 2 years ago
Yep, tried this too. I got the flower sharp and the bee out of focus, you have the opposite. Looks better. Gets published. Logical.

Chris Dixon  Johan, I like your shot and see what you mean about the bee. I was just lucky!! :-)

Chris,

Congratulations on another one - very different POV to the usual pictures of bees, which ends up giving you a unique, refreshing picture.

Well done.

Go well.

Colmar
Chris Dixon  Colmar, Thanks. It was a picture that I had in mind to go with the music to "Flight of the Bumble Bee"

Hope you can make it to London in October

at 50mm and at f/1.4, what an amazing shot!
Chris Dixon  James, many thanks for your kind comment. I had just bought the lens and was playing about in the garden. It reinforces the old addage "have a camera with you at all times"

Cheers Chris
