Superb use of high key with that pop of the shadow tones in their spots. Brilliant.
Stephen Edds  Only brilliant? :))
hehe you are very kind Judy...hows it going in the lovely city of Austin ?
Judy W  So hot here, the cheetahs would think they belonged here. It's 106 on our deck right now. Can October come soon enough? I don't think so.

All the best!
Stephen Edds  I think once you have had as much summer rain as we have had you would be wishing the 106 back again !
Hotter the better for me ! Take care Judy :))

I understand that most people prefer colour with wild life but hey this is just right in B&W a very fine image indeed one I would be proud of & once I get my pocket money may be knocking on your door!
Stephen Edds  mmm not sure I would agree with you about 'most people' Gerard. Look at Nick Brandt and 'Ashes and Snow'
which are both fetching in excess of $10,000 per print and a lot more !!! Both b&w.
Don't worry I will only charge you half that !!! hehe :))

magnificent shot! How did you get them all to pose for you so perfectly?
Stephen Edds  They are actually stuffed !!! :))
They did all the work not me !
Thanks Lev !
Well educated and obedient little cats keeping guard like that. It looks peaceful although they are alert. It´s another day in nature without computers, traffic jams and end of vaccations. I like it Stephen, I like it very much!
Stephen Edds  Yes indeed Marcus. Very kind of you :))

Two golds and a lowly silver.

A classic. Have I seen this before, elsewhere? You must be very proud of this one. + what Angie and Mal said.
Stephen Edds  You are gold in my eyes KIng :)) You may have done, it's been published once or twice
over the years. I am proud of all your comments, it brightens up a totally dismal day in Blighty!
btw I have picked up today our first large print (poppy)....gorgeous ! Thanks King.
Look at those stances! Love this one and that compostion is perfect.
Stephen Edds  Hey, two golds in a row ! No crop either. As shot.
Thank you ABK :))

very well done Stephen, the soft flow of the grass adds a great dynamic to this lovely photo. mal
Stephen Edds  I could have produced this a thousand different ways Mal as you know. This was the way I liked it, something
a touch different. Yet in screening some guy comes up with 'more detail in the sky please' !!! Perhaps he
should have asked Monet to add a touch more colour !!! Just making a point :)) I am delighted you like it Mal !
Thank you !
Mal Smart  Monet should have worked in b/w charcoals, all that colour information is just so distracting!....;-)))
Stephen Edds  Pity there was no HDR around in those days :))
Mal Smart  hehe. I often wonder though what tools a great artist/photographer/musicians from the past would have used had they been born in the modern era and had access to all manner of electronic gizmo's. I would love to think that perhaps someone like Mozart would have stayed true to classical roots and produce groundbreaking music in the traditional way. Maybe, had he been born today, he would wear a silly hat and we would know him as DJ Moz or something. lol
