A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
HOW WAS THIS TAKEN? wow haha Great job and awesome front page photo!
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Hello Ninamarie,
Thanks a lot for you comment ;-)

You can read in the comments how I did this.

I have just used food colors. Four colors red, blue, yellow and green and mixed them with my finger(don't do that, because you get colored fingers) in a small glass bowl and put it on a lamp, also lightening from below. It's just a matter of random shapes, I hadn't any control on the result. Hope it could help ;-)

Wonderful color mish-mash, chaos indeed!
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Thank you very much Ansel. I wished I could reach these colors and forms again. But that was only a nonrecurring process. Just like the birth of universe ;-)

Wow! Amazing colours! I love the speckled detail, red on deep green. The whole thing feels as if it's boiling. What is it, if that's not a secret?
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  It is a mixture of different liquids, mostly food colors. I mixed water, oil and alcohol and tried to give a shape to the mixture with my finger and lighted it from below.

And thank you very much Kate ;-)

Best regards Carola

Awesome intensity of colour is supreme. Wow imagine this as 2m high canvas!
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Thank you very much gerard.

Well, I took it with a 12 MPix compact pentax, also it doesn't reach ever the 200 cm with 300 dpi. But I have a software which makes it real ;-)
gerard sexton  Wow I am even more impressed! simple art is the most effective!
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Thank you gerard again,

I don't have a macro lens. I have a 70-300 mm with macro function, but it's almost impossible to have a good control over the shot because the camera has to be very far from the object. So I took the little pentax with super macro function and it worked! I took over 100 photos with the big lens, but almost none of them were good! three shots with the little guy and all of them were good ;-)

If I saw this at night when closing my eyes to sleep, I wonder what fantastic dreams I would have. Groovy!
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Dreams of creation short after the big bang. It will be a very hot dream. And try to be fast, because those particles and shapes change in a nanosecond ;-)
I loved your comment King. Thank you very much.

Cool stuff Kaveh!
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Oh thank you very much Ralf. Nice to hear that from you.
I think it's the first comment I revive from you! Is it? Isn't it? hehe ... Well it's different from my other works. Next time I'll make a beautiful female nude. You'll love it :-))

looks very intersting.
could you tell what it is?
is it a paint?
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Hi Monique,

It is a mixture of four colors red, blue, yellow and green with a little water in a little plate. Actually very simple.

And thank you very much ;-)
Monique  thanks for your answer Kaveh :)
maybe oneday i will try to shot something similar but i am not good in macro so i think i wouldn't make it :)
Greetings!
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  I was amazed by Carola's abstract macros and decided to make similar pictures too. You need food colors. Thanks to Carola for her tips, I haven't heard about food color before and it doesn't work with water colors.

Here two shots from the setup.

http://polarulv.1x.com/photos/22362//
http://polarulv.1x.com/photos/22363//

For this shot I used only food colors and water and my little compact pentax without tripod. Much better than the big lens!

In this shot I used all of those liquids. I got at the end a colored tongue ;-)

Hope it helps
/Kaveh

wonderful colors Kaveh !
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Thank you very much Diana :-)
It is interesting to think about colors. Why sometimes they look beautiful and why sometimes not?
Diana Bodea  It is interesting indeed, it depends on how you arrange them, if they communicate or not ;)
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Sorry, wrong reply ;-)

is it your abstract macro shot? yeah.. fantastic!
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Yeah! That's the first try. I'm happy that it makes fun to me. I have never thought macro makes fun!

Thank you very much toto...or totoro. do you know totoro?
final toto  totoro? i hope to have a good mean :))

That's really a big surprise! :-)

Looks great, Kaveh!
Congrats!

Wie haste das gemacht??
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Haha, surprise? Well, I did it because my lens is since over 6 weeks sent to reparation and I couldn't shoot any normal pics. BTW, this is made with a simple compact cheap Pentax camera!

Wie ich es gemacht habe zeige ich dir heute abend.

And danke you sehr much Yeti ;-)

Also Speisefarben.

ery pretty, surprising!
a glimpse into the primordial soup?
(Weiß nicht, ob richtig übersetzt: Ein Blick in die Ursuppe.)
regards, egon
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Yeah, that's the right translation. I like your imagination very much, because my goal in this photo was to create that kind of "Ursuppe". I was every time really surprised to see how beautiful those random shapes can be!

And thank you very much dear egon ;-)

Great experience - 'Sounds like' music of the national-romantic composers to me, especially Bedrich Smetana! :-)
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Thank you very much Lars. It was my very first experience with this kind of photography.

You got it! It's musical. I was thinking about Bach's Organ works. But Bedrich Smetanal match very good too ;-)
What to say?? Amazing colour explosion with a really cool text! I´m pressing the favbutton!
Kaveh H. Steppenwolf  Thank you very much Marcus nfor your kind words. The text is from Nietzsche ;-)
