the pastors chair
This belongs to my series about an old mansion with a very sad story. It's abandoned since over 40 years!

I really, absolutely love the series you did on this abandoned house Sven.
The atmosphere is absolutely great and I love the way you post processed these shots.
Excellent work indeed!

Regardzzz, Anneke
Sven Fennema  Thanks so much again Anneke - This is also one of my own favorite series, together with the ospedale depressivo and the old crypt - They were just the places with the deepest and most touching atmosphere and stories!

very classy looking image, did you use HDR or a blending technique to achieve such a high dynamic range Sven?
Sven Fennema  Thank you very much John!
No i no more use HDR, since some time I'm only doing manual exposure blending - It's lot of more work but also much better and more natural!
John Parminter  I agree Sven, ocassionally I have to do the same with two exposures and almost never do HDR as no matter how I try they always end up looking like a Tom & Jerry cartoon.

JP
Sven Fennema  Haha yes exactly - But also many people like such Tom & Jerry cartoons :)
You've got your style. I was fairly sure in screening, that this is your shot.
What especially aimed me in this photo are this slightly open door with something interesting but not fully disclosed behind them.
Regards, Przem.
Sven Fennema  Thank you very much Przemyslaw, that is the biggest compliment i can get,
glad the impact is as i planned, thought about the composition if i should include this our just choose seat and wall but i think this way was the right one.

To me the best pic, I have ever seen from this place...the textures everywhere let you literally feel this magic atmosphere...the still changing apperance of the wall, never stopping, always alive...and mostly I love this little glimpse of the stairs, that take your soul for a walk, upstairs and away...
Sven Fennema  Thank you so much for such a big compliment and your words!
So lucky you are to havec this sort of photo spot.
Great one ;-)
Sven Fennema  Thank you Ludovic!

Great editing and light Sven.Excellent!
I also liked the one of the classroom I saw in screening
but I guess it didn't make it.
I thought that one was superb as well.
Sven Fennema  Thank you very much Jeroen!
I think you mean my picture "detention" some weeks ago? That made it gladly :)
Jeroen Oosterhof  No it was another one Sven but I can't find it in your portfolio.
Maybe it was uploaded by someone else but I thought it was yours.
Anyway I like your style, keep it up!
