You've find a very nice place, and this is a nice black and white, but I feel this black woman silhouette's isn't really well placed in the composition and makes confusion with the black door...

Also the round modern thing that looks like a satelite antena breaks the charm of the scene...
Esra Belgin  Hi PLOVE, thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. As a matter of fact, I don't clone out major elements which belong to the scene. Would you rather see no antennas and the woman in the center? :-)

Thanks to the screener(s) for publishing this photo, much appreciated.
PLOVE  Hello Esra, I understand that you don't want to clone out elements, myself I don't like to do it, sometimes a disturbing element adds a certain charm, I just thought the antenna was a little anachronic ;)

For the woman, in the center maybe not, but at the right close to the wall, so the black silhouette could have a white background and more impact I think :).
Esra Belgin  Hi Plove,

I think the antenna adds a story, kind of irony to the nostalgic scene. As for the woman, I like exactly where she is...
I am sorry you didn't like it but I can't do anything..LOL..
PLOVE  "As for the woman, I like exactly where she is..."
lol, you wouldn't say the contrary would you? ;)

I'm not trying to say the photo shouldn't be published. Even published (as you answer "published is published") I'm not sure this web site is the universal reference in matter of taste.

You seem to bother that somebody express a different feeling, that maybe other people feel too, but they don't take the time to give their feedback. Takes less time to come and say "fabulous"...
Esra Belgin  Well I appreciate your comment but in my humble opinion feedback is for the "Critique" part not for the published photos.
PLOVE  I see, so this place is only for congratulations and auto-satisfaction? lol... not for me. If I feel I have something "interesting" or constructive to say, I'll say it, no matter which forum this is, critique or galery.

Have a good day :)
Ed Buziak  I agree with you PLOVE... another few seconds... click... and the composition would have been more interesting... more depth with the human figure being involved not hidden on the sideline. Maybe a bit more space to the right of the right-hand double doors too.. but not having been there and not knowing the siuation, who am I to say!
Esra Belgin  Hi Ed,

thanks for the comment. Published is published, I appreciate the screener's taste, I also like the way it is :-)
Ed Buziak  Good answer... I always think confidence rather than doubt in one's own work is best.
One more thing... I'm curious about whether you have used any diffusion technique for this image - I'm seeing a sort of "magical mystery effect" in some of the tones which I can't quite pin down looking at a screen shot.
Esra Belgin  Hi Ed, not much processing here. I just converted the photo to B&W by using CS4 Channel Mixer.
