on a man's mind...
A nice man who offered me cigerates and then we ended up sitting for an hour togather at the entrance of his house (more like a big room) drinking fruit juice. when we talked at times he disconncted and at other times he smiled and laugthed. i felt bad for him as he seemed lonely even though there was one more man living togather with him. This is one of his quite moments.

stgrong capture, good details and focus on his face.
it shows that you captured him when he drfited back into his memories.
I wonder how this would look in black & white.

Striking and very expressive portrait. Well done.
sasson haviv  thank you Andre:) you are one of the artists i really appreciate in 1x so your comment means a lot.
Andre du Plessis  Looking at this again. Gosh... so strong. Disarming, in fact. Unsettling to some extend. One here realises how eyes are the 'window to the soul', and once the blinds are drawn, like in the case with this gentleman, who is suffering from an eye condition, and probably cataracts as well - one becomes a bit at a loss. Eyes are everything, and when they are gone, we talk to flesh, and we colour in the space that the eyes would have told. A very unusual portrait, and in effect, a lesson and blank page concerning the emotions that accompany potrtaiture, and what makes people photography work. I do not know if I sound clear, but nevertheless, quite a revelation to me. Thanks for submitting this.
sasson haviv  thank you my friend. it was his state of life.. sadly loneliness can create very strong expressions... it seems to me that this is what he was suffering from.. the eyes yes i understand what you say .. this gentleman did laugh to as well (not too much though)
i guess that the eyes condition let more of the inside come out

it is a good portrait.l saw the man's life in his eyes.
sasson haviv  thank you Mazakli:) deep look he has

I voted for this in screening. Its a wonderful moment you have captured the man is deep in his thoughts natural & not obviously aware you are taking the shot. I imagine he has cataracts his eyes look like they are very advanced. This is a common problem in this part of the world.
sasson haviv  thank you for the vote Gerard:) yes he has cataracts like many other eldery i saw in India. i am happy you like this photo.
