This is a beautiful image, I like the colors and the idea of telling the story of "cutting the flower" within the frames. The "finite infinity" is a nice surprise in contrast to what one - or at least I - would expect after a first glance. But aren't this a Bonsai scissors?

thank you very much for your kind comments and adding this picture to your favourites. The original idea was from an early Pink Floyd LP cover and I must admit I like the idea of telling the story as you went back through the pictures, down to the empty vase in the last picture.

thanks for you comment. It was made up of six photos, 5 of the flowers at different levels of arrangement and then one of the picture frame. It was then down to some careful photoshop work with the tricky bit getting the flowers in front of the picture behind it.

Chris lost this only to stumble upon it again. I remember seing this & thinking how did he do it then but why have one less leaf & then I must have got distracted. I am still at a loss as to how you did this but now I have lingered longer I see the wisdom behind it and can only applaud you. I love the paradox. Next time we meet tell me how you achieved it my brain is just not functioning on the "right" side for me to figure it out myself!

made up of six pictures...5 with each stage of the flower arrangement and 1 of a picture frame....then a bit of playing and patience in Photoshop Elements. I'll explain in more detail when we meet up again.

I'm in Oz at the moment on a bit of a family trip hence the short reply.

Very creative and original image with excellent colors!

Chris Dixon Ellen, thank you very much. Took a while to think through. I put the colours down to my Wife's good taste. The blue is our dining room wall, The dining table provided the white and the fowers were from the garden. It all goes to show that with a bit of work images can be created from "stuff" around the house!!

Poor Crocosmias with no water :(
but very nicely executed, and beautiful composition
with cold and hot colours.

Chris Dixon Marie, you know I did think about the water....afterwards :-) They are now in a vase of their own with plenty.

Thanks for your kind comments. I did post an earlier version up for "critique" and received some really useful hints on how to improve but I must admit that the flower arranging is down to me.....perhaps I can take it up as another hobby :-)
