Though my expertise is primarily insect macro I think you have the potential for a greatness beyond anything I have been moved to comment on. Man made stuff doesn't move me at all, it's al too mental and artless - with exceptions. The Limited detail of the leaf is very good actuating the whole in the part, the Bokeh could be less angular and prominent in places, and I would certainly play with the composition, but that's me. I don't know if you set these up, I don't, but still nature presents.

just for you to know it was taken in november 2008 in the garden
with the available light, and i'm far from an expert as you can see.

Mark Navigating this site is an exercise in patience, even the spelling correction function is wrong half the time. I think there is just not enough time put into it to make it professionally fast and intuitive, However.

I would also like to point out I am also self taught, It starts as I couldn't be good enough and so there is a measure of deference to the supposed experts, some of whom are really so and can be discerned by their good humour and unpredujiced teaching in a necessarily haphazard way. A good teacher knows a little information imparted will be explored by the serious ones whereas those who have it handed to them on a plate often adopt an unearned sense of self importance, it's seen all round. Those who don't really know what they are talking about also serve, to know what can be discarded.

Nowadays I don't care, I know my work is better than most and son enough the time will come when I will have ti improve in one way or another.

But it;s an evolution and nothing should be discarded in that elusive search for what truly pleases, which is always changing.
