No - I have never sold a picture since I did wedding shots for friends at University. Would love to if there might be an interest for my type of work, but 1st have to build up a larger collection. Dear Joan. Thanks for stopping by! I've had a Epson R2400 for 2 years now. Studied and tried and tried, but nothing like the screen. Applied parameters etc etc - to no avail. Now safely back in its box and gathering dust. Trusted old little Canon Pixma at least get what you see. Have to go on Epson workshop. Many thanks for the comment! Andre

Andre du Plessis Yip. Goes to show that it can sometimes be a thin line...
I think that the lesson here is that images are sometimes rejected because the crew
feel that they can be improved on. So they send them back, hoping that you will rework
them differently or more suitably. This one previously did not even make member screening. However, there
might have been other considerations. Who knows.

Andre du Plessis After Adderly street Las Ramblas ranks next best. OK, very touristy and so on, but that whole Gothic area just so special to be in. Take care Stephen.

Andre du Plessis Thanks Robert. After the initial rejection I had to do something more radical. Their faces were powdered up quite white, so I used that as the cue, and converted and adjusted around that with more freedom.

Rosco this got rejected first.....my, my it makes you wonder?! :-)

good editing, revealing good taste ;-)
if it would have been mine I would have considered a slight crop to the right and would have done the click a second later, so that we could see the full mouth of the woman on the right, but I know, sometimes we wish we could have it all :-))

Andre du Plessis Hi there. I think what you say there might have contributed to it being previously rejected. It was compositional factors, and some felt a dissociation between the two girls, as if they were not acting together. That then my reason to edit more strongly in order for the edit to 'bring/force' them more closer in the eye of the viewer.

Andre du Plessis Hi Anja. Thanks. This is a re-do of a previously rejected image, so I changed the processing quite a bit, and 'got in closer'.
Quite contrasy, but hoped that it will appeal more. Which luckily it did. Regards, Andre
