excellent! would like to know how to convert these shots to night shots.

Flash Hi Morkel, all you need are curves to darken, blue and brown color to tint, dodge&burn to adjust shadows and lights and of course a moon.
The only trick are perhaps a masked white layer to emphasize highlights and sharpening techniques to adjust contrasts(e.g. highpass sharpening).
No special filters, just combining Photoshop-basics. And of course a relatively keen sense for light and shadow (as daylight looks totally different).

Good work ;) I think this picture is take by day (because water is freeze, not blurry) that mean high shutter speed, then use filter blue on camera or add in photoshop (maybe + temperature make lower) and last add in photoshop moon :)

Flash You also have to adjust contrasts, lights and shadows - just turning it blue and dark and adding a moon will give you a very unrealistic result.

I have to admit that I don't care how it was made, the mood - appealing, relaxing, and romantic and cold at the same time - is overwhelming. No reason to doubt that if the bigger part of this would have been made by your uncle, you had put this into Creative Edit... :)

Flash There was some creative editing, but it's still a landscape, isn't it?
